Hello!

I'm Dany from Essential by Design, and I've been deeply involved in the world of education for over 15 years. I am originally from sunny Southern California, where I discovered my passion for teaching during my senior year of high school after taking an introduction to education certification course, and I've been hooked ever since!

Education isn't just a job for me; it's a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and growth. I earned my bachelor's degree in English Teaching, with a focus on Teaching English as a Second Language, and later pursued a master's degree in Learning and Technology to stay at the forefront of educational methodologies and tools like Artificial Intelligence.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of serving in various leadership roles within the education community. From contributing as a board member for organizations like the Utah Coalition of Educational Technology to providing hands-on support as an instructional and technology coach in my district, I've been dedicated to enhancing educational practices.

One area particularly close to my heart is leveraging technology to support students with disabilities. My experience at the Utah State Board of Education allowed me to champion this cause and make a tangible difference in students' lives.

Currently, I'm enjoying the rewarding role of teaching English Language Arts in Utah. Every day presents new opportunities to connect with students, foster a love for learning, and inspire growth.

My journey in education has been incredibly fulfilling, and I'm excited for the future opportunities to continue making a positive impact in the lives of students and educators alike.
